In honor of the Summer Solstice, I'd like to share one of my favorite summer reads. The Square Root of Summer follows Gottie Oppenheimer, a 17-year-old physics protégée, as she tries to come to terms with growing up and grieving her late grandfather. Oh...and crazy things like black holes appear every now and again to make things more interesting. Gottie spends much of the book in her backyard, so I often found myself doing the same while reading.
