Station Eleven: A novel | Emily St. John Mandel
Panpan

A book with beautiful prose can survive a lack of substantial conflict, and vice versa. In this book I found neither. Kept reading hoping it would get better, but it never did. My advice: skip it and read The 5th Wave, the book that got me over my disappointment in this one.

Pickpick

I was pleasantly surprised by the truly Harry Potter worthy adventure that accompanied the expected sequel-esque relationship problems, and it felt great to be reunited with the old gang! My only real complaint is that I think Ron deserves much better than the role he's given in this play.

I liked this book the first time I read it years ago, but it's even better the second time around--well after midnight and I still can't put it down!

"'Because that's what Hermione does,' said Ron, shrugging. 'When in doubt, go to the library.'" Loving my new Library Week shirt from Out of Print!
