5 Stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This book was perfect. All the charm of ‘the five people you meet in heaven‘ but with even more plot, more heart, more character development and more emotion. Loved it. I‘ll be telling friends to read this asap
3.5 Stars ⭐️ - it was a really compelling read, good characters and intriguing plot, but I was disappointed by the ending. I would read more from Sarah Pinborough though!
Book 15 of 2021 was one of the best I‘ve read in a long time. Beautiful & honest, I‘ll read it again one day. 5/5 ⭐️
Book 14 of 2021 - can see why this has been so highly praised. Quite poetic at times, which I sometimes struggle to engage with, but definitely worth a read. Raw, honest and beautiful. 4 ⭐️s
Book 12 of 2021 - loved this book. So easy to read, really likeable characters, good plot. It wasn‘t life changing, but it was really enjoyable, and that‘s all I need. Would recommend. (I also enjoy short chapters, so that helped)
Book 10 of 2021 has been *highly* recommended by a few friends, and it really lived up to the hype. Loved it. The story, the descriptive language, the imagery, just brilliant. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Book 9 of 2021 was Educated by Tara Westover. Highly reccommend this book. An engaging read and such an eloquent memoir of a turbulent life. Tara is incredible, fair, and inspirational.
I love Jenny Slate, so have been looking forward to this one! It took a few chapters to get into the style of writing, but I really did love this book. The last 5 or 6 chapters were especially beautiful. Just incredible.
Book 7 of 2021: Sweet Bean Paste - This book was a delight. Such an easy read, so heartwarming and well constructed, just a beautiful story. I definitely recommend it.
Book 6 of 2021: This is the sequel to one of my all time favourite books (the five people you meet in heaven) - so it was a welcome re-visit to a familiar world. The sequel doesn't have quite the same spark for me though, but I still enjoyed the journey.
Book 4 of 2021: Loved this book. Such a breath of fresh, affirming air. 10/10 would reccommend ❤
I read most of this in 2020 but just finished it, so sneaking it in as book 3 of 2021. I loved it. So affirming and full of wisdom that we all need to hear, especially those with a church background
Book 2 of 2021 and its an old favourite. It's been a few years so was time for a re-read!
