Soooooo good omg. It's spelled in the perspective of how Precious writes and she's dyslexic and doesn't really know how to read and write at first but you see progression with her spelling throughout the book. Sad I finished 😭 loved it !!

I'm so sad I'm done with this book !! Alida's essays are hilarious, relatable and with her commentary and witty banter, she also dishes out some advice too that every female can take in. Definitely a must read for feminist ! Loved it

From herding camels and goats in the desert of Somalia to being a maid in London to then being scouted to model, this book is full of twist and turns. Waris is funny and her humor shows throughout the book. It also teaches you a bit about female circumcision and Somalian culture. I truly loved reading this. Couldn't put it down !

Susannah'a story on her condition and what she went through was not only insightful and informative but also very emotional at times and at times, shocking. This woman was living a regular, normal life, working as a journalist for The Post and then suddenly, she begins to have seizures then psychosis and what follows is insane. I loved it !!! I learned so much about the medical world by reading this book as well.
