The book “The Pigeon Needs a Bath”, written by Mo Willems in 2014, has a very amusing relatable story for children and all ages alike about the struggles of bath time. The book is ultimately promoting personal hygiene, but is paired with underlying message that sometimes things in life are difficult, and scary, but you should at least give it a try, who knows you might like it!

I love this book! The illustrations are so beautiful and pull you into this world. The art style is so calming and allows you to absorb the story. I hadn't really heard of Langston Hughes before, but I definitely know him now. This book gave me more of an appreciation and awareness for these poets!
