🌟🌟🌟Better than The Dark Knight Returns, but still over hyped.

🌟🌟 So gritty, so serious, so meh. And I'm so mad about Selina Kyle.
🌟🌟🌟🌟 Really excellent, though not as memorable as it could be.
Excellent LGBT rep, interesting concept, meh book. I didn't car for the characters, the world building was lacking, and it just fell short. 🌟🌟🌟
Siege and Storm was a solid sequel, but I find the character of Mal so unlikeable that it's distracting. The book just isn't very character driven overall, which is a problem point for me personally. However the world building is good and it's engaging enough that I'll read the final book for sure. 🌟🌟🌟
🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 So good! Great LGBT rep with Mexican characters, good pacing and a really sweet love story. All your friends have probably told you to read this, and they are right.
I enjoyed this one! Like many of you, I read Six of Crows before. I was looking forward to high fantasy and a kick ass heroine, and that's what I got! I was pleased with the world building and character development and I will be picking up the sequel soon. There was a whiff of love triangle, some girl-on-girl hate and cattiness that was boring and cliche, though it did have a nice female friendship for contrast.
Who knew a book about cheerleaders would resonate so well with this former theater nerd? Polly and Hermione are friendship goals for sure.
This was really good! It was nice to read a W|W love story that wasn't a coming out story. I also loved that the main character was a production designer because that was really interesting to learn about. The narrative was uneven at time and I would have liked more insight into Ava and her motives, but still super good!
A delightful, earnest read. Wilson takes a look back at her life as a former child star into adulthood. I would most recommend this as an audio book because Wilson's voice is amazing.
