Of course this wasn't as good as the HP series, but I still enjoyed it. I liked seeing our beloved HP characters as adults, and going through a new adventure with their children. This is written as a screenplay, and some people didn't like that. it didn't bother me.

I loved this book! I loved the element of magic, the characters and relationships, and the element of surprise. I can't wait until the next book comes out!

Meh. It wasn't that great. Sometimes the writing was a little confusing. And it wasn't really all that scary...more disturbing. About as scary as an episode of Supernatural.

I am fairly new to Francine Rivers' books. The girls in my life group at church were gushing over Redeeming Love and told me I HAD to read it. It was ok, but not gush worthy. I know many Christian fiction books focus on redeeming flawed characters, but this was so over the top. I found myself wanting to smack a few of them upside the head and ask "Why did you do that?!"

I was a little skeptical about this book at first (just because so many other books I've read about other cultures have been anti-American, race bashing, hate-filled books). This wasn't like that. It was beautifully written. Sure, some of the content made me a little uncomfortable. But I absolutely loved the book. I felt so many emotions while I was reading it.

Kicking off Banned Book Week

I am not exactly sure how to review this book. I did not like it! I expected it to be a more adult version of the fairy tale, meaning it had some sex and maybe some light BDSM (it was listed under "If you liked Fifty Shades of Grey", after all...not that I LIKED Fifty Shades of Grey). This book had no romance to it. It was all sex and extreme BDSM (in my opinion). The only redeeming part of the book is the end.
