What a fantastic read! I was entranced by Haig's words, and Riddell's illustrations! Captures the struggle of a man who has to love for too long so well. You know how you hear people say, if only I had more time.. or, why do we have such limited time on Earth? This is a rude awakening. Just goes to show how the essence of our lives is transitional, and meant to last only a while, like a mayfly. The whole book reads like a metaphor.

Truer words were not spoken! I'm so loving this book. I really wish I could personally tell people to pick it up! 😝

This book is just pure amazing! It's been so long since I came across a comfortable read like this. The writing is flawless, with lovely gems of memorable quotes. A not so simple tale, told very simply. After such a long time, I was compelled to stay up and fight my sleep to read. A great book for the lost souls who haven't read something in a while. This is your home coming.

⭐⭐⭐ I loved some things like the writing, especially how well he deals with emotions and putting them in words. But otherwise, this was too YA for me. Maybe if you are a teen, you would love it. I would have liked more from it!
