Holds up surprisingly well for being published 25 years ago. The Thailand and Vietnam settings made for a refreshing listen.

Maya Banks has an addictive quality to her books, which always makes me read (or listen) on, despite my issues.

Listened to this on audiobook. Wonderful narrator, but the story was bogged down by excessive back story, too many side characters with POV time, and jarring head hops.

A wonderful follow-up to the first Veronica Speedwell book, A Perilous Undertaking provides a fun romp through Victorian London chasing after a murderer. While the romance reader in me naturally wants more between Veronica and Stoker, their partnership is stronger than ever. I can't wait to see what trouble they get in next.
