Twenty years after her father's plane crashes in the jungles of Southeast Asia, Willy Jane Maitland is finally tracking his last moves. She recognizes the danger, but her search for the truth is the only thing that matters. Willy knows she can't proceed without the help of ex-army officer Guy Barnard, who knows the mysterious land well. But in a place where truth has many faces, she suspects even Guy has hidden motives. What she couldn't have prepared for are the shocking secrets and the undeniable attraction. "Gerritsen is tops in her genre." - USA TODAY

BarbaraBB I‘ve never read her, is she good? 5y
girlwiththeglasses Ohh I loved Tess Gerritsen‘s books especially her Rizolli and Isles series. Though I‘ve never read this one. Is it any good?? 5y
TrishB @BarbaraBB the series that @girlwiththeglasses mentions is the one to read. I wouldn‘t go out of your way either of you to read this one. A very early book by the author. 5y
girlwiththeglasses @TrishB I don‘t really mind. As long as it comes from Gerritesen‘s I‘m down to read it 😂 5y

Anyone else like me? No matter how bad I think a book is I just have to finish it. Struggling with this Tess Gerritsen book though 🙃

julesG Litsy has taught me that bailing on books is okay. There are just too many good books to waste my time on one that I'm struggling with. 6y

Jessicaanne I am the same way! I can‘t not finish something that I‘ve started which is awful when I‘m just not that into what I‘m reading 6y

Mehso-so

It's a very slow starter and not one of Gerritsen's best but I did really like the ending 😊

Holds up surprisingly well for being published 25 years ago. The Thailand and Vietnam settings made for a refreshing listen.
