This book is bananas. Couldn't make up a more interesting story. #truecrime
Going to stop myself from reading in one sitting. It's too good to race through. #comics
I read Han Kang's #TheVegetarian and loved it. #HumanActs is taking me longer - not because I dislike it - but because the subject matter is so heavy. I've been trying to read more Asian writers; my knowledge of East Asian history is woefully small.
I loved this so much. I've read very little poetry; but Patrick Rosal is a new favorite.
This book is making me again regret my decision to not pursue criminal justice as a career. #truecrime
Made out like a bandit this year. @outofprint t-shirts are the best.
The imagery/art of this graphic novel are amazing. Really loving it.
"But people of good will should be reminded that this is all you'll be able to do if you wait til a time of crisis to speak up and act."
I'm just on p 18. "Fasten your seatbelts, it's going to be a bumpy night."
I liked the 2nd half of this book more than the first, but as a whole it's really great. I hope Jade Chang has a long, prolific career ahead of her. (Picture of my dog because I can.) 😉
I've had so many nearly identical conversations like this one.
Just started this, and I'm excited. #writersofcolor #representationmatters
"Besides, if we go to the white man for school, we will just learn the way the white man wants us to learn."
Work perk - ARCs of books I'm very eager to read.
