So many interwoven stories whose characters orbit around a painting. I just loved this book!

Angela Thirkell was born on this day in 1890. Currently reading "Northbridge Rectory".

Such a wonderful book. Witty, elegant, bittersweet, with subtle humor, an assortment of colourful characters and a protagonist that will stay with me for a long time.

Just imagine the dialogue that would lead to this quote...
