Slow start, but once I got into it more I was completely hooked. Really amazing characterization. The last chapter threw me a bit for a loop, but I like how it was done.

Felt like I was growing up right along with the characters. I was born in 1991, so it gave me some perspective on how it must have felt for my mom to grow up in the 20 years previous. Reading this made me feel so grateful for my family and made me want to call my mom. Highly recommend this book. Once again Kristin Hannah nails her female leads.
Fantastic sequel to Handmaids Tale. Great depth to Aunt Lydia and loved reading the perspective of June‘s daughter especially. Great way to get my handmaids “fix” while the show is on a break.
