Killers of a Certain Age | Deanna Raybourn

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️this wasn‘t at all what I expected but I loved every minute. Who doesn‘t want a story with retired assassins (vibes of The Thursday Murder Club) Brilliant idea with a really easy writing style.

Only mystery book by the writer of Winnie the Pooh and since I now feel too old to read that I thought I‘d try this novel. If you like locked room novels from the a bygone era it‘s definitely worth a read but if your a crime mystery book lover you‘ll probably guess what happened and the murderer. ⭐️⭐️⭐️

I am desperately waiting for the next Alaina Urquhart release. This book made my skin crawl from the first page to the last what a great crime book full of twisty turns. I couldn‘t put this one down. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ “ Like the prettiest girl on syrup mountain” Stevie

What a great follow up to Truly Devious. There‘s something so easy and comforting about this book, it‘s very much a YA book but really enjoyable as an adult reader. Helps that they serve maple syrup everything at this school and who doesn‘t love maple syrup. Onto book 3 in the series The Hand on the Wall

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ loved this one when I picked it up. The locked room (or island) had me intrigued from the start since I‘ve always loved Christie‘s And then there where none. Shame that I‘ve not enjoyed Lucy Foley‘s latest The Paris Apartment

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Really enjoyed this YA mystery. The characters, setting, the present day mystery mixed with the cold case mystery from the past, it all made for a great read. Onto the next book in the series 😁

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Apartment sitting for $4000 a month, a few strange rules. It seems to good to be true…and it definitely is. The ending is where this book shines, it stills makes me shiver to think how cold and creepy this book descends. 1st Riley Sager book will defo pick up another.

⭐️⭐️ Thought I would love this one being loosely based on a real event that occurred in 1900 with three missing light house keepers in the Hebrides but I‘ve been sadly disappointed. 😭

I kept hoping it would get better so I kept going with it but should have probably DNF this one.

I loved the idea but don‘t think it was executed well, tagged as a mystery, horror and supernatural thriller it just tried to do too much in my opinion.

Excellent translated locked room mystery. So glad I stumbled across this. Vibes of Arthur Conan Doyle‘s Sherlock Holmes and Agatha Christie‘s And then there were none. Recommend if you enjoy locked room mysteries. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

A Litter of Bones | J.D. KIRK

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I joined the party late to this series.Book #11 in the DCI Logan series was recommended through Amazon, it wasn‘t until I dived deeper that I realised it was part of a longer series starting with A Litter of Bones. I‘m so glad I gave this a shot. It was such an quick easy read, the characters are brilliantly introduced and it sets things up for later in the series. If you love crime books you won‘t be disappointed.
