I was so surprised and excited to find this book today, I love all the artwork so much, especially the mermaids like Julián! Such a sweet story ♥️ and I didn't notice until now that this art on the wall reappears later !!! I love it !!

Such a gorgeous and striking book, it's hard to pick a favorite page. And this was a signed copy ??? What a find !!!
Also: all proceeds from the book go to the UNHCR!

I couldn't decide on a page to take a picture of to really sell this book. I really love every page, even the two that happened to guess my worst nightmare. They're stories that you think about after reading, and then you read again and again...
I was pleasantly surprised to find in the little about the author section that Emily Carroll lives with her wife and large orange cat. I'd like to know the cat's name, and I hope they're having a good day.

When I first read this section, I was cracking up at 4 AM, and thankful that my roommates are notoriously heavy sleepers. I'd love to read the whole book over again.
