Good lord. This is one emotional roller coaster.

I've read all of Kleypas‘s books and Derek is one of my favorite characters of all time. #amrereading :)

I picked up the hard cover when it was on sale before Christmas. One of my favorite YA reads this year. Just found out it's a finalist for the Braham Stoker award. Dark read that's very well written.

This book is highly emotional and a great YA read.

Reminiscent of Penny Reid, Ruiz brings an adorably awkward flair to her characters, but she employs fantastical elements to her stories and her romance is more of a fade-to-black clean read. True YA, these summer reads are unique and entertaining.

One of the things I've loved most about writing the Scythian series is the way the males of that culture are attracted to strength, not only in body but in mind and spirit as well. It's been such a growing experience for me, as a writer and a human being, to try and create a society that values equality and truth above everything else. I only hope I do the concept justice.
