A cute little story about friendship and loss, this book is much more meaningful and insightful than its whimsical surface might suggest.

A quaint little book of many stories of families living in Alaska soon after it became a state, this book had lovely narratives, prose, and allowed short, sometimes unclear storytelling that pulled me in from the first page.
