Post really ramps up the action when she needs to and leaves the reader feeling like they've also been involved in a series of heists and shootouts. If you binge watched TRUE DETECTIVE and JUSTIFIED and need something to keep you going, this is it.

The stories in this book are hilarious.

Kept meaning to take a shot of this passage from Claire Fuller's #SwimmingLessons. I love the sentence "Writing does not exist unless there is someone to read it." We like to think we write for ourselves, but deep down, we all write to be read. #amreading

I need more writers of color in my diet and this came too widely recommended to ignore, so...

Just finished it this morning. Absolutely brilliant. Cline has a way of describing things where it seems like she's reached into your subconscious and plucked out the words you already knew, but hadn't arranged in the right order yet. Her prose is masterful and her characters are heartbreaking in their hopelessness. Read this if you haven't yet, then read it again.

That's it. I'm done trying to be a writer. With prose like this out there, why am I needed?
