I've never liked nonfiction much at all, but this book may have changed my mind. I may be biased, (I love Johnny Cash), but this blew me away. It wasn't written in chronological order; it read more like a large collection of his thoughts that somehow pulled together to become a comprehensive story of his life. Beautiful and genuine. An incredible man. A+

Maike I love his music, this goes on the TBR 😊 I'm also planning on getting 8y

Mehso-so

I typically am not a big fan of novellas that explore back stories of minor characters for two reasons. First, because they are usually unnecessary, and second because they are usually only released to make money, and it shows. The second story in this book that follows Farley, Steel Scars, lived up to my expectations. But the first story, Queen Song, which follows Coriane, actually added something to the original plot and really touched me. B-

Pickpick

Night deserves to be heard. It's brutally honest and truly painful to read. The translation is fantastic- nothing was choppy and I didn't feel that anything was even mildly confusing. But beyond the skill of the writer and it's translator, is the anguish of this boy, Elie. You could feel it in every page. It was almost tangible; I could feel it hanging over me. A must read. A+
