Enjoyable story, just like the first one! (You can read this without having read the first one, but I would recommend reading it too because it's great too!) Sweet story of unknown love, being realized what it is while one knows what love is and fights for the other one to believe in and learn what love is. I received this book free for an honest review.

I'll be honest, I struggled keeping names straight and who everyone was, which isn't the author's fault. Truly a great mystery and very enjoyable. The great prodigy detective is accused of murdering her family, and to prove her innocence she solves other mysteries to gain trust and to rebuild her reputation, under false identity as a male eunch of the Prince. Looking forward to more by this author!

So glad to have finally finished this!! Way too long and way too much detail. Great story overall, a bit confusing at times with what was going on and so many characters. Not sure why I didn't like Marina, maybe because I thought she put herself in bad situations bc she didn't think things through. Realized when I finished, this was only Book I and presumably more will follow... might have to read the Cliff Notes for those!

"I used to think I knew what people should do, that I had a good sense of right and wrong. But since I'd been out here with Kolya, I saw the true tragedy--that everyone was right from his own point of view, everyone was suffering and needy." - Marina

Nice romance, with a rating of R. At times the dislike between the two was annoying, but overall a great falling in love after you've already done the deed. There is a sad scene that did get me a little teary-eyed.

This was a sweet romance story, about falling in love again and learning to trust. Paige is a recent divorcée with a 2 year old who runs into an old high school friend. The story is G rated, and a feel good happy story all around. I'd give this 3.5 - 4 stars. I like faster paced stories, but this was still sweet!

I didn't care for the overall story and it was really slow. Light (almost nonexisting) humor, mainly Lila's grandmother. The story is about Lila and Luke, alternating pov between the two, splitting up and trying to date others only to realize they miss each other. It took quite a while to learn why they split to begin with, and after I found out I kept thinking, "why didn't you guys talk more?"

Great new series! Sweet and innocent young lady has to protect herself from a stalker, but we see she is more than she appears. I'll admit, there were parts that I wish had more details, but overall great book and I look forward to finishing this series!!

If you enjoy Sherlock Holmes, you'll enjoy Dagobert! This book was comprised of 6 short stories, where Dagobert is , generally, telling his friends, Mr. and Mrs. Grumbach, how he was able to solve a matter and what clues led to the solution. They generally, but not always, were also involved either as bystanders or because something was afoot within their household. I highly recommend if you enjoy sleuthing stories!

I really appreciated how the author sprinkled African words throughout, but also gave the definition in a natural way for those (me included) reading who had never heard these words. There were also quite a few stories going on, and although the author did a great job, I wish maybe I could have found Lexi and Carter's relationship more believeable. Overall, this was an interesting story with murder, mystery, and romance.

Loved this book, and cannot wait to see the movie! Great 80's references and LOVED the gaming aspect!! Also liked how the futuristic aspect seemed more feasible than other's portrayals i.e. Back to the Future

khakimoose Was disappointed by the movie because there were SO many differences, and a lot of the music referenced in the book wasn't in the movie. The story was overall there, but changed quite a bit. My husband loved it, but didn't read the book. 6y
