I devoured this book in a couple of hours and I‘m so glad I randomly decided to read it. I wasn‘t expecting it to register so deeply with me, but each twist in the story had me captivated. This is the kind of book you should start reading before reading any summaries. Just go into it knowing that you‘re in for a beautiful and (sometimes) devastating experience that you won‘t want to forget.

I wish I had been able to find my paperback copy of this to read it, because the illustrations were not done justice on my kindle.
I LOVED this book so much. I felt like I was experiencing Conor's tragedy firsthand.
Though the book was heartbreaking, it was also incredibly cathartic to read. I feel like, in the future, I will turn to this book again and again to cope with my own sorrows.
5/5 stars

Honestly, I saw the plot twist coming from a mile away because Bubble Boy was one of my favorite movies ever and some things just didn't add up.
That being said, this was a thoroughly enjoyable, fun, and quick read.
I loved that, even though Maddy sometimes spoke like she was a bit older than 18, it didn't come across as pretentious or unbelievable.
4/5 stars because I figured out the plot twist early and because I felt the ending was rushed.

I honestly don't know how to express my feelings about this book.
It was, simply put, magical.
Everything I've ever read by Neil Gaiman has left me feeling like I'd read the story a hundred times over. I close his books and feel like they've been apart of my own life story since as long as I can remember. This book is no different.
It was hauntingly beautiful and I look forward to reading it over and over again in the future.
5/5 stars

Just started _The Ocean at the End of the Lane_ by Neil Gaiman and I'm going to fall asleep to the audiobook.
God, I love Neil Gaiman's writing.

I can only give this 4/5 stars because I've read how upsetting the plot has been received by many people in the disabled community.
Though the story was, in my opinion, well written, I can fully understand why someone would find the plot itself offensive-- especially if they or a loved one are quadriplegic or similarly handicapped.
(Sidenote I hope my use of terminology like "disabled" or "handicapped" is appropriate and not offensive to anyone.)

Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe was such a delightful read.
I listened to the audiobook as I read, and Lin-Manuel Miranda's narration was also just downright pleasant.
This book is not without its conflict-- in fact, the protagonist (Ari) is FULL of conflict. But he's relatable and real at the same time.
I don't want to give a lot away, but I would definitely recommend this book to anyone looking for a bit of hope. 5 stars

After reading this book, I understand why it's won so many awards. Cora's story of escape is captivating and inspirational and Colson Whitehead does not shy away from demonstrating the parallels between America while slavery was fully legal and America now.
I was really intrigued by the idea of the Underground Railroad being a literal railroad and my one complaint is that I felt that premise wasn't explored as fully as it could have been.

I picked this up today on a whim and devoured it in one sitting.
I'm not usually too big into poetry, but I think this book changed that because-- wow.
The poems Milk and Honey are so raw and emotional. Some of them cut me to the core and I'm not afraid to admit that I cried while reading this.
It's not for everyone, but I thoroughly recommend it to everyone (especially women).

I'm almost 20% into this book and I am constantly being blown away by the gorgeous prose and I am also straight-up addicted to this plot. Wow.

I'd give it 3/5 stars because it got really predictable (to me) and relied a little too much on nostalgia and flat characters, but it was still a fun read. I'd recommend it to older teens who are really into video games/the 80s (if there are older teens nowadays who are into the 80s lol).

The subject of this memoir was heartbreaking, but the writing wasn't great. Even though I wanted to love this book based on how sad the subject made me, I just couldn't shake the feeling that the author would have benefited from the help of a ghost writer.

I read this even though I knew I would disagree with the author. The book made me so angry that I gave up about halfway.

I appreciated the message, but this graphic novel didn't really grab my full attention.

This book (and the concept of hygge in general) made me feel warm and snugly. It's not the most in-depth book on the subject, I would assume, but it's enough to give you a familiar understanding of what hygge means.

Though I didn't expect to enjoy The Things They Carried the first time I had to read it in high school, I fell in love with its raw depiction of life during wartime. It was the first time I saw members of the military being presented as human beings with flaws instead of just as faultless heroes.
This book is a collection of semi-autobiographical short stories and is an incredible piece of literature, but some parts are difficult to read.

This novel makes me want to play more video games and watch every 80s teen movie that's ever existed.
