This story, these women, this book. Incredible, devastating, empowering. Read it.

Whewwwww I tore through this twisted book. Predictable outcomes, but unpredictable means, and totally enthralling.

If I could have read this in one sitting, I would have.
Powerful, unpredictable, and with rich characters to either love or hate.

I had never read this before, so thought I‘d try it out. It was okay, definitely not a fave, but it‘s certainly an important book and shares a unique voice with the world. I didn‘t really identify with any of the characters, but that‘s part of what makes the book special.

Eh, it was okay. I liked the writing and the young characters, but the chapters about everyone else didn‘t captivate me.

Gave it 100 pages, couldn‘t get into it. I wanted to like it, but it just wasn‘t captivating me.

I didn‘t love this book, but I also didn‘t want to put it down. I like the writing, and the perspective is certainly creative. I laughed, I came close to crying, I was uncomfortable - I really had strong reactions to a lot of parts of this book. I‘m not sure why I didn‘t love it, but... I didn‘t, and I was ready to be done.

So glad I read this book! A lot of stuff I vaguely knew, but it puts the pieces together nicely. Proud of my state‘s history, and hope we can start to bring it back to its progressive roots.
