Daughter of the Pirate King | Tricia Levenseller

One personal takeaway that I got from this book was that even though it was an easier book to read, I liked the way that the main character was a strong female and the author was able to make her strong and brave/ independent without making her rude and cold.

A personal takeaway from this book was how interesting it was how the author was able to take all of the different girls and make them all very different from each other but also show how important they were for each other and how all of the different characters types complemented each other. I think that the way that this author wrote the book in a way that is very similar to how it would happen in real life is interesting.

Great Gatsby | F Scott Fitzgerald

Something that I found memorable about the book the Great Gatsby by F Scott Fitzgerald is how all of the characters and the plot changed violently at the end of the book. The book at the beginning and most of the middle was not as violent as what it was at the end, where two murders and suicide happen. It makes sense in the plot line, but when I was reading it, the speed at which all of that happens surprised me.
