pickBeen reading Joanna Shupe for about 5 years now and I always come back to Magnate as the book that started it all. The first historical romance book that did NOT take place in Regency or Victorian England with dukes and earls and whatnot. Joanna Shupe introduced me to the Gilded Age of 1895 New York City and I ever since I have been obsessed with this time period. Magnate is the book that started it all and it still ranks as my favorite of hers.
