I don't know what I was expecting from this book when I started it, but I finished it with so much more. I loved everything about it, and I can now see why it is so popular! Can't wait to read the next one.

So, I finished this book last night, and I'm still not sure how I feel about it. I originally picked it up because Cassandra Clare is one of my favourite authors, so I had hoped that I would like it. For me, there were too many similarities to Harry Potter, and I had just about given up on the series as a whole when a plot twist hit me. And for that reason alone, I intend to continue on with the series.
My first and only holiday read this year. Some of these short stories I loved, and some of them didn't live up to my expectations.
I have a few favourites from the stories, Welcome to Christmas, CA and Midnight's to name two.
The one story that I didn't really gets to grips with the most was the Girl that Woke the Dreamer. I just couldn't seem to find an interest in the story to begin with, but I got there eventually.
Merry Christmas to all!
