why didn't I read this before empire of storms? urgh it all makes so much more sense now
Possibly one of the weirdest books I've read- and not for the plot.
A world where nobody can sleep, an idea with so much promise. Yet the book felt unfinished, unanswered. The protagonist Paul was too busy being philosophical that he didn't question the state of the earth at all, we never saw his opinion on it, he felt detached. I feel like the
author wanted to slag us all off, and just used the 'plot' as an excuse to do so.
