Interesting start. Disappointing middle. New characters introduced after the climax. Ultimately a disappointment. Would not recommend. ⭐️⭐️

Advocating for males through feminism is high key my heart. This is the first book I‘ve seen so just that.

Brilliant prose, layered and emotional story. This book is NOT pop fiction, it‘s literature, which makes it a slower read. Much is beneath the words. Character driven. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Brilliant young adult read about an aspiring rapper fighting to make a name for herself in her community. While fighting to be heard, she must also fight to find her voice.

Listened to the audiobook, which added the element of a auditory rhythm to the book. Would definitely recommend.

Alex North's "The Shadows" is one of the first spooky books I've ever read. I've had my hands on a few thrillers over the years, and I love a good mystery, but this book had my heart pounding (peep the excerpt from Charlie‘s dream journal on page 82).
⭐️⭐️⭐️

Ultimately, if you‘re looking for a spooky book, keep this one on your radar. But don‘t spend too much time here if you‘re out for something truly terrifying.
