I've been in big horrible reading slump lately. My brain has been begging for some good reads. Gettin back into the groove with The Last Lecture.

One of my husbands favorite books. I'm practically being forced to read it lol
Finished reading this book late last night. So powerful. I want everything I read to stay with me. I fell asleep listening to the audiobook because I wanted everything to sink deeper into me. Not ready to let go of this book quite yet. I know I'll keep going back to it for the next few weeks.
Had to do the audiobook after reading a couple of chapters. I just couldn't read the book. The langauge/slang slowed me waaay down.
Comforting descriptions. It was an easy read. I enjoyed it but it was a little lacking in something.
Finished late last night. I have a whole new world of music to discover thanks to ?uestlove! He feels like such an accessible artist/person through his writing. After reading this and Hunger Makes me A Modern Girl by Carrie Brownstein I feel like devouring more music related/artist memoirs!
Was this passage meant to be so hilarious? I can't stop laughing 😂
I never read books by performers. Seems like a waste. Audiobooks are the way to go for books like these.
This book/audiobook is a duh for Gilmore Girls fans!
😒
The ending felt like a joke. Really? What? Okay, whatever.
Such is life 😢😤
Loved this book. So deliciously and fulfillingly worded. The whole book.

"Life is an endless recruiting of witnesses. It seems we need to be observed in our postures of extravagance or shame, we need attention paid to us. Our own memory is altogether too cherishing, which is the kindest thing I can say for it. Other accounts are required, other perspectives, but even so our most important ceremonies - birth, love, and death - are secured by whomever and whatever is available. What chance, what caprice!"
