This book is about a kid named Owen who is kind of overweight, though he is a genius. In his past, he experiences the death of both his parents. Being known as the “fat kid” through his whole childhood, he undergoes the hatred of finding himself, heartbreak, teenage relationships, but; most of all bullying. This theme is very stereotypical to all other fat people, most experience bullying at some point during their lives.

ty.obara The POV of this book is in first person narrative, which I think is the right choice for this book assuming you can understand the thoughts and feelings of the one being bullied. The theme of bullying is very present in this book, whether Owen is getting picked on in gym class or getting his Oreos stolen from his lunch kit. He tries to find out who killed his parents by building a TV that looks into the past, because he is a genius. This book 2y
ty.obara having the theme of bullying helps those people who have never been bullied understand what it is like to be bullied and seeing it first hand thorough the first person narrative. I rate this book a 7/10 due to the fact it is very slow moving and it has some plot holes that do not make sense in the end. Having the idea of making a TV that looks into the past is a little bonkers too me but it shows well in the book. Overall, a great book too read! 2y

Pickpick

I really like this book, It provides me with a lot of different subject that are all different and very creative. The way that book is setup with different characters and different chapters keeps me very entertained because there are so many things going i on at once. I like how the end of every section ends with the word “AWESOME” in all caps, it provides a funny comic relief while also being awesome. This book is very unique for how the layout….

ty.obara of the book is. My favourite “chapter” or “section” is the “Waking up to the smell of sizzling bacon”. This relates to me a lot because I love bacon and I love the smell even more. I would totally recommend this book to anyone who is looking for a not serious book but also a comically relieving book. 2y
