An update on my book is that it‘s so juicyyyyyy. The characters have some fun and interesting relationships that keep me interested because I feel entertained when I read the book. The plot is going a little slow but I like that the setting is an amusement park where there‘s a lot to do but also a lot of hidden secrets. I want to find out what happens soon.

One character I resonate with in The Weight Of Blood is Ms. Morgan who is constantly being realistic and opening the truth up to people who have been blocked away from it. I connected with that because I feel that sharing my perspective is always important in making decisions and being realistic is one of my main specialties.

The writing style of my book is very fast-paced in places where it's needed so you don't feel like you're wasting time but also slow in certain areas that need more explanation on the character's background. It's well written in that sense and the author's stylistic choices are nice because it bounces back and forth between characters and a podcast that tells the story almost.

I really liked the presentation of Godspell because I felt like the songs all tell a story of community and love which connect to the story in the musical in many ways. I'm intrigued to read it because the song choices were all good and learning that it starts with all of the characters being different and then coming together, in the end, sounds cool.

The antagonist of my book is the main enemy of the world that Citra and Rowan live in which is Scythe Goddard. They believe that gleaning should be public and out there to the world, as this is the only way for non-scythes to remember what it's like to be alive instead of dying.

The main conflict of the book Scythe is that the two main characters, Citra and Rowan experience their lives in a society placed in the future where death is not a real thing and the only way people can die is by being murdered or “gleaned“. This conflict is character vs. nature.

Based in New York, Yahaira Rios has been invited to the principal's office, where her mom is there waiting to let her know that her father, the person she dearly looks up to, has died in a plane crash. Moved away by the distance and her dad's secrets, the two girls are forced to live new in a whole different reality in which their father is dead and their lives are forever changed.

The barber is going through a straining time as he weighs out his options to kill the guy or not. He keeps thinking about the future and how people will see him if he does or does not take this life-or-death choice with his own hands. He holds responsibility in two places; his pride as the greatest barber and his trust in the rest of the revolutionaries. Both carry significance to his identity and one gets sacrificed with this one choice he has.
