A devastating and crucial story of life and love, this book was un-put-downable. Mateo and Rufus, upon hearing that they are supposed to die on the same day, spend that final day together, learning and loving and living so much in their final hours. This book offers so many lessons to readers, and reminds us all to live each day to the fullest.

A poetic, melancholic, and insightful read—Slaughterhouse-Five has redefined my view of time, war, and trauma. Beautifully written and deeply reflective, I was filled with wistfulness after finishing it. Focusing on the fire-bombing of Dresden through the eyes of an unfocused character, Slaughterhouse-Five is profound and tragic. I‘ve already recommended it to multiple friends and my own parents!

An absolutely chilling read. A friend recommended this book to me, claiming it would change my life, and she was right—it did. I couldn‘t stand to part with the book as I neared the end. I felt the characters‘ struggles and confusions deep within my heart, and stayed up all night questioning my reality after I had finished it. Everyone should read 1984–the ending alone is worth any time or effort it should take.
