Pickpick

The 2nd book in the Copper Ridge series is a friends-to-lovers story, following Connor Garrett, full time cowboy, and Felicity Foster, his best friend. Connor‘s wife unexpectedly died a few years ago and his BFF Liss lives with him now. There is a lot of depth (maybe too much) to the story, as Connor has a very difficult time moving past his grief, which is all-encompassing. Quite steamy. I love the large cast of friends and family characters.

On to another Maisey Yates. I wasn't enamored with Connor in the first book, but being inside his head in this book has helped. #currentlyreading #romantsy #squishyface

"What do you need makeup for?"
"If the barn needs painting, you have to paint it, right?"...
"Natural wood is good too," he said, somewhat lamely.

There quite a bit of angst and pain in this book (dead wife who I'm beginning to think MAY have been pregnant) but it's still so funny too!! Also, I probably should have done the beginning of the quote in the photo instead of the end, but that's the funny part!
