pickThis is an omnibus edition of the Patternmaster quadrology and it's good but very uncomfortable. It deals with multigenerations of human evolution and the way society and the world changes along with it. The first two books set up one path humanity takes while the third sets up another path. The final book shows how the world has ended up by highlighting the story of one man as he enters his manhood. So many taboos and triggers though.
Heading into the last book of the patternmaster omnibus and as much as I enjoy the writing the actual plot and situations have been kind of dark and emotionally draining. I‘m hoping this one doesn‘t completely wreck me like yesterday‘s did.

Having to settle for reading on my bed instead of the porch because it‘s supposed to hit 100F today. I am so ready for the end of summer!

Managed to finish two books this week so I‘m starting to get back to a more normal reading pattern. Both were solid three star reads.

I didn't manage to finish anything this week so it's been kind of slow for me reading wise BUT I'm 50% through Seed to Harvest and almost 50% through Many Colored Land so I have accomplished a bit.

Finished the first book in this omnibus edition. Wild Seed. I was really engrossed and it went by really quickly. A lot of discussion on genetics and slavery with a side of keeping humanity in the face of immortality. Excited to immediately move on to the next one.
