Hiding the truth from her friendsand the cute new guy in school, who may have secrets of his ownseems like a good idea at first. But when the bad-boy-next door threatens to ruin everything, Ivy's carefully crafted lies begin to unravel . . . and there is no way to stop them.Once things get to the breaking point, Ivy turns to her music, some surprising new friends, and the trusting heart of her disabled little brother. And she may be surprised that not everyone is who she thought they were . . . including herself.

Mehso-so

Just finished yet another average book for me. It just feels kinda bland to me. I feel like I expected some things to happen differently I guess

I know that their family is struggling and poor, but did her mom really just take the money without even asking first? I would be pissed if that happened to me.

BookishGirl06 Sorry if this post makes me seem rude or dumb or whatever. I get why the mom needed the money. It would just annoy me to find something missing 3y
Tianarose Totally. But also from a parents perspective, kids take stuff without asking all the time, so maybe payback. Lol. Still annoying 3y

Does anyone see an issue with that line ? It looks strange to me. My friend doesn‘t think so

MsMelissa It should be “...hear them arguing.” Not ‘heard.‘ 3y
BookishGirl06 @Book_Fiend_Melissa I agree too. It doesn‘t make sense the way it‘s written 3y
Karkar Yep sounds weird 3y

I absolutely loved this book. I just randomly picked it up and it turned out to be a new fave. I would definitely recommend this to anyone. It left me wanting more from the author but the book itself ended perfectly.

I absolutely love the library. It is probably my favorite place to be, besides a coffee shop.

When Ivy Emerson‘s family loses their house—complete with her beloved piano—the fear of what‘s to come seizes her like a bad case of stage fright. Only this isn‘t one of her single, terrifying performances. It‘s her life.
And it isn‘t pretty.

I love this because it just sounds so raw and real. Like ultimately heartwarming. Ivy loses everything, but maybe that was her destiny to gain something far greater...❤️

This book captures how real life works perfectly. One day it's all smiles and the next it's not. Not everything is as it seems. One of my favourites now
