I just finished this and it was pretty cute. A little bit predictable but not quite. I found it funny and easy to read. Also I know the cover says it‘s an arc but this book has actually been out since February 28th of this year. Also pride and prejudice retelling

Second book was pretty good as well, though her ex husband was annoying at times lol. Can‘t wait to read the 3rd. Does anyone know how many books are planned for this series ?

MallenNC I just read this and felt the same way about the ex-husband. He was even more annoying in this than the first. The author‘s site says a fourth book is coming out in 2024 but it doesn‘t say if there are more than that. 1mo

I really liked this. It had some magical parts in it as well but a good kind. It‘s also dual perspective about twins who are colored but one is able to pass for white, never realizing the truth until her grandmother passes.

This girl wants to dig up bodies and move them somewhere else (later revealed to be a swamp) just for being colored. This book is set in the 50‘s but I hope no one actually tried to make that happen. Girl can‘t even let them rest in peace? 😡

“For colored girls, there‘s no such thing as happily ever after”. Yikes. I know this book is set during the 50‘s, but I‘m glad some things have changed since then.

The first book I‘ve officially finished in 2023, and I flew right through it. It was pretty good, first one was better but overall I liked it. I wish we got to see more of how death cast worked besides calling people to inform them of their imminent death

I always get confused about the shelved part. Does that mean 751 shelved it in 2022 or 751 shelved total

Does it ever mention how Ellie got pregnant with poppy in the first place ?

5feet.of.fury I remember Noelle drugged her and …I gues turkey basted her… I don‘t think it went into specifics… with sperm she got off the internet. 6mo
BookishGirl06 @5feet.of.fury I just finished it and that just seems so weird to me. What did she knock her out again and insert sperm into her privates or something? I don‘t think she could sneak it into her food cause I don‘t think that‘s how it works 6mo

90ish pages in and I already have a theory. Don‘t spoil me if I‘m right or not please, but I‘m wondering if Poppy and Ellie are related somehow. Obviously not the same person but 🤔

BookishGirl06 I wonder if maybe Ellie is poppy‘s biological mother. Again don‘t tell me if I‘m right or not 6mo
