My newest read. It‘s clearly set during covid.
I just finished this and it was pretty cute. A little bit predictable but not quite. I found it funny and easy to read. Also I know the cover says it‘s an arc but this book has actually been out since February 28th of this year. Also pride and prejudice retelling
I just finished it and it was pretty good, but also a bit sad. I had a feeling about what the twist was and I was right.
I love this series.
“Because something so beautiful can never last forever, shouldn‘t last forever”. This line spoke to me
Currently reading and I wonder if I‘ll fall in love. I think I‘ll have strong feelings about this one
Second book was pretty good as well, though her ex husband was annoying at times lol. Can‘t wait to read the 3rd. Does anyone know how many books are planned for this series ?
Last month wrap up. I hope to get more this month.
Another current read of mine. Liked the first one so gonna check out the next 2
I recently won this (and a bunch of other arcs) so now I‘m going through all of them and trying to review them
It was pretty cute and sweet. I thought the family dynamic was interesting on the male mcs side.
I really liked this. It had some magical parts in it as well but a good kind. It‘s also dual perspective about twins who are colored but one is able to pass for white, never realizing the truth until her grandmother passes.
This girl wants to dig up bodies and move them somewhere else (later revealed to be a swamp) just for being colored. This book is set in the 50‘s but I hope no one actually tried to make that happen. Girl can‘t even let them rest in peace? 😡
“For colored girls, there‘s no such thing as happily ever after”. Yikes. I know this book is set during the 50‘s, but I‘m glad some things have changed since then.
Just finished it and it was really good and sweet. It was set during the holiday season, but I could see reading this anytime during the winter season.
The first book I‘ve officially finished in 2023, and I flew right through it. It was pretty good, first one was better but overall I liked it. I wish we got to see more of how death cast worked besides calling people to inform them of their imminent death
I always get confused about the shelved part. Does that mean 751 shelved it in 2022 or 751 shelved total
Halfway in and it‘s ok. Learning more about Jewish culture and other things from it.
Just finished. It was ok. I flew through it pretty quickly and it had some messages about grief and love. Basically girl falls in love with not necessarily a bad boy, just one who‘s not ok mentally
I finished this a lot faster than I thought I would. It was pretty good but I wish the last book was out because this book ends in a cliffhanger.
Finally finished this. It was definitely creepy at times and I didn‘t really expect the twist but it makes sense looking back.
Rereading this before I read the sequel. Sometimes I wish there was a site I could use to read a quick recap.
Finished this a couple days ago. Thought it was ok but I don‘t think I‘m picking up the sequel. I‘ve already read spoilers for the next book and i don‘t think I‘ll like it too much.
Just finished and it was pretty good. Not sure if I‘m gonna pick up the sequel. I might tho
My next read
Just finished this and it was kinda meh. The story was interesting and kinda fitting for this time of year. We even get a small romance for Stella at the end, although I don‘t feel like it made much sense to me tbh.
Just finished and it was pretty good. I liked the main character and her journey. The love story was ok, but not sure if i entirely buy it.
Does it ever mention how Ellie got pregnant with poppy in the first place ?
90ish pages in and I already have a theory. Don‘t spoil me if I‘m right or not please, but I‘m wondering if Poppy and Ellie are related somehow. Obviously not the same person but 🤔
It was pretty good. I thought the alternating chapters between mother and daughter was a good way to tell the story. I liked the the daughter for the first half of the book.
I might not be a mom myself but I feel like this is a pretty naive way to think and the 16 year old girl is showing her age lol. A baby isn‘t going to wait patiently to get his poopy diaper changed
My pick for #20 for #bookspin. Happy with myself for actually reading both this month. @TheAromaofBooks
With fall starting up soon, good time to start reading all the horror and spooky books
Just finished. It was ok but I didn‘t really get too into it. It seemed to go too fast for me and I just didn‘t feel too invested in the story.
First read of September. Also from shelf #17, which is one of the #bookspin picks this month that is being hosted by @TheAromaofBooks
