pickIn parts sweet, hilarious, and ridiculous. Ben Gillman's B plot was where ridiculousness came in, but I love love loved the new tadpoles in Boat Squad John. Not Brockmann's finest by far, but a fun interlude to catch up with familiar characters.
Aaaaaaah, this is what I get for not keeping up with my favorite ever romance series! A new short story and a new 200 page novella! I've been thinking about rereading some of the Troubleshooters books because I always need kick-ass men and women in my reading, and I miss Alyssa and Sam and Jules and Robin, and even crazy Izzy Zanella. So yeah, this is the post-grocery shopping-flu shot-carpet cleaning portion of my weekend sorted!
