I loved her book The Last Woman in the Forest so much ... so I‘m going back to this tagged one now ... before I head into some Bookclub commitments... ( they will be fab too , just a last minute of book freedom first 😍

“The wild spaces allowed me to hear the whispers of something much greater than myself and I couldn‘t get enough of it.”
Sometimes you go into the wilderness alone and good things happen like you find yourself. And sometimes bad things happen like you get really, really lost.
I've been without my phone for a week and man did I miss litsy and all you Littens! But never fear! I caught up on some good reading in while I was away. #alwaysbereading
I would have bailed had it not been a Book Club pick. Debut novel that had promise but didn't deliver for me.
A woman goes hunting alone one morning and doesn't return when she should. During search and rescue, a woman working for the Bureau of Land Management gets especially invested in finding this particular hunter. The story is told from both perspectives, and I thought each narrator was excellent.
Great escape for this 100% city girl!

Starting a new audiobook. Following The Handmaid's Tale will be tough, but a female-centric mystery sounded like a good option. Barely started and I like it so far.
This was pretty much *nothing* like the book jacket described. Still, once I started, the story and the writing kept me hooked to the end.
Interesting mystery/outdoor story of a woman hunter lost in the snowy mountains and a woman ranger who is on the team to find her. What really happened and what are the women's motivations? Decent novel w/ believable women characters; Colorado setting plays a role. Worth the read. Okay audiobook.
This week's read...two chapters in and already hooked!
