I successfully completed all 4 of my goals, although I do wish I'd be finished with "The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue" by now. I'm stretching that one out!

pickAfter reading Katherine Heiny's upcoming STANDARD DEVIATION (which I *highly* recommend), I returned to Laurie Colwin's ANOTHER MARVELOUS THING. The epigraph for STANDARD DEVIATION is from this classic Colwin tale, and Heiny's writing evokes a sort of Colwinism (yes, I made up that word, so what) without being derivative. Pairing these two reads together is an explosion of awesomeness.
Taking a poll: What female novelists write the best dialogue? Any passionate opinions out there? I flagged Laurie Colwin on this post because she wrote amazing talk. And amazing everything else.
