This was a wierd experience for me. So many things didn't feel right because I saw the movie a million times before I ever touched this book. New York?!

Just finished part three of crisis on earth X. Part four for tomorrow.
Just finished the annual rewatch of this demented masterpiece.
Just finished working a 16 hour day at the election polls. So tired I've been awake for 17 and a half hours.
This one just didn't do it for me. The medical argument wasn't as sound as I'd like it to be. Definitely going back to reading these ones in the physical form though. I remember Hong's better that way.
Reading the above book and rediscovering #bodyofproof. The book is part of a Sherlock series. Speaking of, BBC Sherlock episode 1 complete.
Murder mystery meets Hogwarts, what's not to love! Helped me on the way to getting rid of my post #elementary hangover.
Just watched #yesterday, oh my god what a horrible flick. Truly strong premise sent straight to hell by its length and dialogue. Seriously cut 75% and it would have been a perfect short for TIFF. Don't take my word for it, go see it for yourself. You might end up liking it where I didn't. The only thing I truly liked about it was the music and Lily James. Oh and that one spoilery thing.
Just finished the series finale of elementary today. I liked it quite a bit. Especially how they left it open for more someday down the line. May have to start watching the BBC Sherlock again too.
Pacing felt off, name dropping was frustrating, and it ultimately is something I could've done without reading.
The baby sister of my elementary school best friend just got married! I remember when she liked to dig in the dirt for bugs to examine.

Has anyone here done any list challenges? I saw This on tumblr and had to try it out.
Good bedtime listening. Carrie reads it herself, which was nice. I find I connect to a life story better that way.
My sister's final flight into Indonesia has landed and she has messaged that she has arrived. #voluntourism
Wow just watched the last episode of season 4 of Superstore. Can't believe it. They really went there. They went real world bullshit. I actually need to know what happens next.
Watched via Netflix. Fair warning deals with forced abortion, racism, and anti lesbian action and sentiment. Was a good flick though.
A touch predictable. Easy, enjoyable reading though. I didn't mind the world building except a particular medical detail stood way out. L'eirs apparently don't have a pulse point in their thumbs like humans do. The main alien kept measuring pulse at the neck with his thumb. Never explained in world either. Other than that no issues with it. Probably won't go chasing the next one down.
Cute. Nerdtacular. Need I say more?
Watched the movie on Netflix today. Cute, soundtrack totally made it.
#friyayintro Well, not really a read it's the new adaptation that I would give 4.5 stars to. I very rarely have 5's. Crunchy. Sunset. Payment on my student debt. Didn't have one, loved the scholastic fair though.
I never got into Monty Python. I mainly know Eric Idle as the narrator from Ella Enchanted. It was fascinating to hear about his life and his work with John Cleese and the rest of them.
It's always a challenge reviewing biographies. How on earth do you quantify a life like that. Fair warning, this book has major trigger warnings for rape and abortion. It was absolutely a must read/ hear as far as I'm concerned.
Well this book was extremely racist and belittling as fuck about world religions. I found it valuable in that it will remind you that no one deserves to die for their faith or because of it. I myself am agnostic. Except for science. I take that to the bank.
Don't read this book if you are religious. At best you will be pissed. At worst you will have your faith shaken.
Fair warning this book discusses mental health and suicide/ suicidal ideation. It was a wild ride going on this journey with Miss Bello. This book is short. It is also not an easy read. It took me a full month to finish. It struck many chords for me. This book is not a call to action. It is a reminder that acceptance is the only valid way to handle things you can't change. To accept something is the first step to fighting apathy and injustice.
Just what the doctor ordered. Intrigue, murder, and a disgruntled coworker to boot! I enjoyed this very much, including the nostalgia factor. Definitely didn't blow me away though. Was a touch formulaic.
Ms. Reichs did not let me down! As with all the Tempe books, a feeling of contentment and comfort enveloped me. This time the subject matter was very fascinating and turned me onto something I will likely research in the future. Impeccable world building and plenty of suspense. If you have tried reading these books grab one soon!
This book has reawakened my royal fever. Seriously we just had a charity book sale and I got two royal biographies. I love the idea that Cinderella was based on a real royal family. The writing style made this so easy to read. I would love it if this became a series.
I have serious feels about this book. First this book contains cheating and inappropriate age gaps. You have been warned. Also the way it is written has a strong suggestion of approval. This bugs me the most because this a middle grade book. No resolution. Which would be realistic and totally fine if it were targeted at adults like me. it is being marketed to kids and teens who are going to read and possibly learn unhealthy relationship habits.
I have some reviews to get caught up on. Have been very preoccupied with looking for work. This week is fairly busy but I will aim to have them up by Friday evening.
Melissa Landers has just become a must read author for me. Outlaws, enemies to friends to lovers, intrigue, mayhem, and space pirates. What's not to love?!
I just ordered myself a new desk! And it was only 91 bucks! So thrilled it will really open up my room. Down the road I'm going to get a piece of real wood for the top too.
This book frustrated me to no end! It's like a giant game of Clue mixed with Dante's inferno. That ending has to be the most frustrating thing I have read in years. Gah!
Evelyn Hardcastle Will be murdered at 11 PM. You alone are responsible for solving her murder. At least that is what you believe to be true. This book has more twists to it than forty five snakes writhing beneath a house. The multiple POVs will make your head spin so fast.
Just what the doctor ordered. Intrigue, murder, and a disgruntled coworker to boot! I enjoyed this very much, including the nostalgia factor. Definitely didn't blow me away though. Was a touch formulaic.
I have this on audio book and it is really good so far. Eric narrates it himself. Well, of course he does it could hardly have been anyone else. I'm about 30% through it by now. I'm also being considered for a shortlist with a museum at the moment.
Tonight's episode was so good! I saw that ending coming though and I haven't even read that far.
1. I rent - no pets allowed 😐

10. Applied to work at my local museum
11. Had to start this over, tried using pic collage lost my progress
This was a nice cozy read. I know it sounds weird to say that about books that follow a forensic anthropologist on murder mysteries. It really is true for me though.
Bones was on tv for 12 seasons. I discovered it in 10th or 11th grade. It got me through most of my exam revisions in my degree too. Then I discovered these books. So I guess you could say I have a nostalgia attachment even though the books are fairly new to me.
Gah the most recent episode was so frustrating! I wish brie had been capable of telling her ladies maid who roger was.
God this piece blew me away especially when I say how it affected RuPaul. He completely lost his cool in the best way possible. #skinwars
So this be my year in books. I rate 2 books as 5 🌟, 2 as 4 🌟, 12 as 3 🌟, 5 as 2 🌟, and 2 as 1 🌟. That's pretty common for me given that j really have to enjoy a book for it to be a 3/5.
My current user name was chosen to better reflect my content. I mainly review books from the backlist. I'm a broke college grad and can't afford to be buying a book that I haven't already read and know I will want to read again. @kaye
This book was fantastic and will prove to be an invaluable tool for writers-to-be. Two of the three stories were fantastic and sucked me right into them. The third was not really my cuppa. Still useful for learning though.
Just finished reading Tessa's story. Very interesting. I can't stand short stories that are open ended. Unless they are intended to be continued at a later date.
