pickPatrick Branwell Bronte has always been the least well known, yet in his early life he showed equal promise, being the main inspiration or “Genius Brannii“ of their early literary exploits.
I'm not convinced the evidence is strong enough that Branwell could claim even part credit for Wuthering Heights, but I did find Du Maurier's hypothesis about the rumoured love affair with the wife of his employer, being a cover story made sense. 3.5 🌟

@batsy and @saresmoore are currently reading The Tenant of Wildfell Hall and the Litsy conversations have reminded me of this oldie that I bought a few weeks ago. Branwell Bronte started out as the "genius" of the Bronte siblings but his alcoholism and opium addiction led to his early death at age 31.

One of my on going projects is to put all the Angrian Saga in chronological order. Now with the Big B is getting more props maybe the editions of his writing will be reprinted in a more economical priced edition.
