Dance with your heart, and love will follow. Kindergarten teacher Spenser Harris has carved a quiet, stable future out of his tumultuous past, but his world turns upside down the night a homeless teen appears on his doorstep--a boy whose story mirrors the one Spenser has worked so hard to overcome. The decision to shelter Duon is easy. What's tricky is juggling the network of caregivers in Duon's life, especially TomAs Jimenez. TomAs wouldn't have hesitated to take Duon in, but his plate is already full working three jobs to support his family. Though Spenser's carefully constructed walls are clearly designed to keep the world at bay, TomAs pushes past Spenser's defenses, determined to ensure the man is worthy of his charge. As the two of them grow closer, TomAs dares to dream of a life beyond his responsibilities, and Spenser begins to believe he might finally find a home of his own after all. But Spenser and TomAs's world is forever poised to crash down around their ears. Duon's grandmother isn't sure she wants him to be raised by a gay man and challenges Spenser's custody. TomAs's undocumented parents could be deported at any time, and all the while the state of Minnesota votes on a constitutional amendment against marriage equality and the US Supreme Court debates whether or not Spenser and TomAs get a happily ever after. All they can do is hold tight to their love, hope for a better future...and remind each other to enjoy the dance.

1: Everything. I can talk books with understanding people it's great.
2: I'm not a bit fan of memes, anything that isn't book's.
3: I didn't really know what else I would like to see.
4: about twice a week depending if I finish a book but I do scroll loads and comment on things a lot 🤷
5: I love readathons! 😍 I am not a big fan of swaps anymore I've had a bit of a shitty time with them last year.
Question 6 is in the comments

kaysworld1 6: I don't know if anything needs changing but I do get a bit pissed off scrolling through all the meme's there's more of them than books! 4y
ljuliel Thanks for taking the time to respond. Everyone‘s opinions count ! 💕. I‘m going to try to get more book talk going in here. 🤞🏼 4y
RainyDayReading I've had a bad time with swaps too. Sent off a package and my partner never sent anything in return and never responded to any attempt to reach them 😞 Haven't done a swap since then. 4y

kezzlou85 @RainyDayReading that's why I've never done a swap, ive heard so many stories about people not getting their swap. 4y
kaysworld1 @RainyDayReading @kezzlou85 I used to love doing them but then they would start saying you have to spend more money on them. I also found out I was on a watch list for sending books that were not on people's TBR lists 🤷 I thought the who point was to share and find new books! I don't do the big one no more. 4y
kaysworld1 @ljuliel No problem 😊 4y
kezzlou85 @kaysworld1 the swaps always look amazing with so much time and thought but the cost in some of them is scary. 4y
kaysworld1 @kezzlou85 It is expensive like and people complain if something doesn't look expensive! And then on top of that there's shipping. 💷💷💷💷 4y
ljuliel @RainyDayReading @kezzlou85 Yes, the swaps are a bit of an acquired taste. Some really like them, others don‘t. There are some flaws in the system, which I don‘t t know how to fix. I used to do them, but not interested any longer. You can still participate in here without doing those things you don‘t like. 4y
kezzlou85 @ljuliel yeah I'm taking part in the litsylove swap which is only a small one and my swap partner is in the same country so reduces the postage costs. 4y

Pickpick

(3 stars) Three Thoughts 1) this one had a lot going on in it and as such was a little muddled 2) I like how the two leads interacted with each other 3) a quick well written read
