pickThis was a treat! Exactly what I needed after yet another day of migraines. I read this in one sitting (it‘s more a novella than a novel) and enjoyed both the story and the slightly old-fashioned language. There were a few repetitions but that was ok. It‘s the story of Marie who works as a nanny for the children of the Austrian writer Arthur Schnitzler and who falls in love with a bookseller. The descriptions of winter in Vienna were magical. ❤️
