So Carlotta Wren's life hasn't turned out as she'd planned. She didn't plan for her parents to skip bail for a white-collar crime, leaving her to raise her brother. She didn't plan on having the silver spoon ripped from her mouth and forgoing college to work retail. She didn't plan on her blue-blood fianc dumping her. And she didn't plan on still being single ten years later, working at Neiman Marcus, with no idea where her fugitive parents are. But she's coping. Until her lovable brother is arrested, and the hunky cop decides to reopen her parents' case. her brother becomes a body mover for the morgue, and his sexy boss gets Carlotta involved. her former fianc's wife (a good customer) is murdered, fingering Carlotta. With three men in her life, Carlotta has added motivation to help bag a murderer to keep her own well-dressed body from being next on the list! Look for all six books in Stephanie Bond's Body Movers series, available now from Harlequin MIRA!

I never catch my litfluence at a fun number.
I've read a lot of good books this year, but I think my favorite by far is the Body Movers series.
Thanks for doing a give away!

What book or books have gotten you out of a reading slump?
Stephanie Bond's Body Movers series really helped me out recently. I wasn't into reading this Spring. It felt tedious and everything seemed to be too full of detail. This series was a fun read. Bond doesn't use complicated words and she gives only enough detail to get the job done. Carlotta and Wesley, her brother, are the MC. Trouble seems to find them anywhere. #humpdayreading 5/5

Zelma Bill Bryson is one of my go-to authors to get me out of a slump. Or comics. 6y

This series sounds fun! It's been on my TBR for a while.

Have any of my fellow Littens read this book? Would you recommend? Please let me know. ☺️

megt I read this one recently! I gave it a so-so rating, but I think that‘s partially because of the expectations I went in with. It‘s fun and I‘ll probably check out the next book in the series, but I thought it would be funnier than it was. 7y

Mehso-so

Finished this a few weeks ago. I'm on a never ending quest to find a series that offers the campy, goofy fun of the Stephanie Plum books. Not sure I've found it in the misadventures of Carlotta Wren, but I was entertained and intrigued enough by the characters that I'll try out some more of the series.

Nuwanda I found Marcia Clark's first Samantha Brinkman book (Blood Defense) put me in mind of Stephanie Plum. 7y
megt @Nuwanda thank you for the recommendation! I'll definitely have to check that one out. 7y

When I think dumb and beautiful I think if Carlotta Wren. She gets into all sorts of hilarious hijinks. A truly fun read read with dead bodies. ☠️☠️💀 #octphotochallenge #dumbabdbeautiful (image from a fan page.
