It‘s time for our #Back2School party weekend to begin 🌟‼️Unfortunately due to corona, I wasn‘t able to obtain most of my school days photos....so here‘s a collage that represents those moments. The first album I bought was Paul McCartney& the Wings, I loved Frogger & Dairy Queen, I interned at Mademoiselle (1986), MASH series finale was a HUGE college experience as was the wedding of Luke & Laura (General Hospital). David‘s Cookies were epic👇🏼

Cinfhen Clara Peller wanted to know “Where‘s the Beef?”, Frankie Goes To Hollywood & Madonna ruled the air waves, Patrice Simone was my beloved Cabbage Patch Doll and I obviously thought BIG curly hair was attractive 🙄

Cinfhen My friend Cheryl worked at Benetton and we ALL and I mean WE ALL used that employee discount @Cathythoughts @squirrelbrain I used to buy those oversized cardigans for my entire family 😂😂😂 4y

Megabooks Please tell me you had a swatch as well! I had two in the 80s and then also road the late 90s revival. I also had clothes from Benetton in the late 80s and also rode their early 00s revival. That‘s where being between generations gets you!! 4y

Centique I am so thrilled to hear you interned at Madamoiselle! NZ seemed so removed from global teen culture in the 80s that those magazines were like a drug to me. Couldn‘t afford to buy them cos they were like $18 or so but I‘d haunt the library waiting for the new ones and bring them home in gleeful piles! 😍😍😍 4y

Cinfhen It was a HORRIBLE experience @Centique if I‘m being honest.....but it‘s a cool antidote to share😜The only celebrity I got to “meet” ( it lasted 22seconds) was Debbi Gibson. She seemed nice. I was an unpaid intern, got college credits and I worked like a dog doing grunt stuff. I was really glad when the semester ended. 4y

Centique @Cinfhen I hear ya! How often do those dream jobs turn out to be terrible. Did you read The Bell Jar and have any shared memories in there of being an intern? (Also Debbi Gibson WOW, peak 80s pop star 🤩) 4y
