The writing style is good but the memoir itself was really hard to get into. The author has a self awareness of her own selfishness but there was next to no growth shown to go alongside that awareness. I found her extremely off putting to be honest.

Pickpick

Terrific story of a California girl living in NC who marries an older guy from Libya. Unsentimental look at a cross-cultural relationship and marriage. Couldn‘t put it down.

Long break from Litsy (and a pretty big dry spell for reading in general, TBH) but I'm back! 40 pages into this one and so far so good! My #bookaboutreligion for the @bookriot #readharder challenge
