Fuck It
Fuck It: The Ultimate Spiritual Way | John C. Parkin
5 posts | 6 read | 1 reading | 4 to read
F**k It has taken the world by storm, helping countless people to let go, stop struggling and finally do what they want; to ignore what everyone else is telling them and go their own way. This now classic text has been updated with inspirational new material from John C. Parkin. In this inspiring and humorous book, John suggests that saying F**k It is the perfect Western expression of the Eastern spiritual ideas of letting go, giving up and finding real freedom by realising that things don't matter so much (if at all). It's a spiritual way that doesn't require chanting, meditating, wearing sandals or eating pulses. And it's the very power of this modern-day profanity that makes it perfect for shaking us Westerners out of the stress and anxiety that dominate our meaning-full lives. So, find out how to say F**k It to all your problems and concerns. Say F**k It to all the 'shoulds' in your life and finally do what you want to do, no matter what other people think.

Some good advice. Worth taking with a pinch of salt.

Snuggled up with these fur kids tonight ❤️ It's been a heck of a day! Friends who have lost loved ones, coworkers who are like family & are going through a rough time. "Friends" who are not really friends at all, & the real friends who are going through rough times. Incredible winds & flooding here today, lost power for most of the day but thankful it returned before I got home. I'm thankful for all the true friends &, saying fuck it to the rest

I keep seeing everyone celebrating their litfluence hallmarks and I'm like "how?!" ? Then I remember that I'm #teamandroid and will never catch up ?

drokka You will eventually. I found that getting to 1000 was rough, but after that hurdle things seemed to pick up. Basically post as often as you can/want and the numbers will follow. 8y
EchoLogical @drokka Thanks for the advice. I try to post something every few days but it usually doesn't happen. Lol 8y
GypsyKat I was on Litsy for something like eight months and I think my numbers were around two hundred. It wasn't until this became my main social media outlet around Christmas time that my numbers grew. Anyway it's not a contest, it's just a measure of how involved you are. 👍🏼 8y

Cinfhen My first 1000 took months! I think playing the photo prompt challenges really helped me feel more connected, and posting everyday definitely helped the numbers. It's not about numbers though...it's finding book-minded people...BTW, I host a photo challenge {{shameless-plug}} try it..it's fun. This month it's #LyricalApril, next month #RockinMay I use my playlists and turn song titles into bookish prompts. 8y
Sarahr875 Haha I've been here since the beginning and mine is still pretty low. I just don't really have time to post a ton. Don't be sad! We're glad you're here. 8y
EchoLogical Thanks y'all. I know it's not about the numbers and honestly, I'm having a lot of fun finding book recommendations and great deals. Lol. 8y
EchoLogical @Cinfhen I've been seeing lots of #LyricalApril posts but didn't know what it was about. That's pretty cool. 🙃 8y
Cinfhen Tomorrow's prompt is #sweetchildofmine if you want to give it a try 🙂💖and today is #BadRomance 8y
EchoLogical @Cinfhen Oh goodness! So many couples come to mind with today's challenge. 8y
jenniferw88 I'm #teamandroid too, yes my first 1000 was difficult but it will pick up after that - I'm close to 4500 now. 8y
EchoLogical @jenniferw88 You give me hope! Lol 8y
EchoLogical @jenniferw88 I just followed up on this post and peeped your litfluence. Holy cow! You're a rockstar! 7y

Absolute shit. I got nothing out of this whatsoever. The author is nowhere near as funny as he thinks he is.
