We have both finished one book today, I finally finished the tagged and she read Pugs of the Frozen North. We started late but are planning to stay up as late as we can. Taking a quick break and then moving outside. #readathon
I didn't make it in 2019. I set a goal of 150 books and read 103 which was still great! I hit a couple of slumps this year but I feel like I've been more consistent and I'm better at acknowledging when a book and I aren't connecting.
Bring it 2020! Send me your books! Let me bring down the tbr - finally. I really need to read those books 😂

pickAnother nearly so-so review. I wanted this to be so much better! The story of an ordinary woman pulled into rescuing her Jewish lover's family in Berlin during WWII sounded intriguing, but kind of wasn't. I never understood the main character and due to that her actions at times seemed bizarre and unexplained. It felt there was no emotional depth to it. Frustrating overall as the story itself is so interesting.
Does anyone else HAVE to take a brand new read on holiday?! I go on Saturday; I've nearly finished this book and am reading the last bit so sloooooooowly to try and string it out till Friday - can't possibly be a day or two without a book on the go yet can't bring myself to start my carefully picked holiday read a day or so early 😂😂😂😂
I spent the last 24 hours hosting 10 year olds for a birthday extravaganza/sleepover for my son (me = 😴) so to reward myself today I have not moved from a chair in the garden. Finished one book, now on to another. Has anyone read this? (I do apologise for the slightly flippant feeling photo of painted toes and flowers, against a cover with a Nazi flag, which wasn't intended, it was just my view for the day!)
