A joy to read, effortless 600 pages. Not what I was expecting, a pleasant surprise.

Library sale!
I know hardly anyone liked Manhattan Beach but I seem to be running a mini lending library out of my home - and hopefully one of my “borrowers” will like it!
Just got these two discards from the library for 50 cents each!!!!!!!
One of my favorite books.. It draws me in the way Allende's Eva Luna and Garcia Marquez's One Hundred Years of Solitude do.. And so few others. Louis de Bernières is a masterful storyteller.
