This was a somewhat entertaining start to a new series. The premise is intriguing - the owner of crystal shop who only has only minimal magic powers has to stop the apocalypse. There are zany sidekicks and a smidge of romance. I would have liked to see a bit more character depth and development, but it was a fun enough read (with a solid cliffhanger) that I'll check out the next book in the series when it's available.

The #libraryhaul from my trip out today. A mix of comics, supernatural, and nonfiction. With all the reading I have to do for school in the next few weeks, I probably should have shown a little more restraint. Oops? 😊

Fun, but mostly formulaic, and a clear set-up for a trilogy. It might be a good beach read for people who enjoy stories about magic.

Got this e-galley a couple of weeks ago and I'm ready to give it a try.
