Blank Cookbook: My Family Recipes | Cool Journals

Well my first cookbook went out to my girls up at the pregnancy young mom center!!! For Mother‘s Day. They received crockpots for Christmas. I‘m finishing up a regular cookbook for them and will then work on freezer meal ideas.

I used to poo-poo these community cookbooks, BUT my grandmother and aunt have given me a few and with age, I‘ve come to appreciate them for the love given. I always use this one for the tuna casserole, or in MN lingo “hot dish.”

It‘s a suitable dinner for our April blizzard. Wait, no it was a thunder/blizzard because we had legit summer style thunderstorm with a blizzard. Truth. Midwest. 🙄

Aseleener I've read many of these (I'm a pastor's wife), and they often drive me crazy. I'm picky about how recipes should be written and there are so many imprecise measurements, missing pan sizes, oven temps, etc. But I know there are some gems to be found in them. 5y

Lcsmcat We used to get lightning with snow in Utah. When that happened you knew it was going to be a big snow. 5y

One of my coolest finds. An all in one cookbook, hosting book, and general housekeeping book for the Whitehouse. Published in 1905. Found for $5 in the back of a great used book store in North Vancouver.
